Since 1997, Vision Source on Long Point has served as a dedicated and caring provider of quality vision services to Houston and the surrounding communities.
Our Origin
I had a face-to-face meeting with a sprightly gentleman optometrist, who intended to retire, as of yesterday (literally). He has already met with a few of my graduating classmates but ultimately chose me as a buyer for his practice.
I am forever grateful to him for this wonderful opportunity to spread my young wings.
Thankfully, I was able to seek his grandfatherly advice, and he always provided me with humble, realistic opinions, which helped me tremendously, in patient care and learning to operate a business. There’s nothing like an experienced optometrist communicating his wisdom to a novice optometrist, like me.
Having had threadbare lessons from a practice management course in optometry school, I literally had to learn business administration through trial and error. And boy, there were some doozies! I look back at this time during my mid-20s, and I am so thankful for the trust this generous humble retiring optometrist placed in me, to take over his practice. His faith in my potential as a business owner and practitioner gave me the confidence and wings to fly!
